Start with the basics
When Swift Tunnel cannot connect, first confirm that your device has a normal internet connection. Try opening a familiar website without changing any tunnel settings. If the device itself is offline, the tunnel profile cannot establish a connection.
Next, open Swift Tunnel and check the selected profile. Make sure you are using the intended profile—not an old test profile with a similar name.
Refresh configuration data
If the profile came from a subscription URL, refresh it from its original source. Providers sometimes rotate server details or credentials. If you imported a share link, ask the person or service that supplied it to confirm that it is still current.
Read the status before changing settings
Swift Tunnel displays connection status and other useful signals. Note the message or point at which the connection fails, then compare the profile with the original configuration. Randomly changing protocol, server, or TLS fields often makes a valid profile unusable.
Rule out common device issues
- Update Swift Tunnel to the latest available release.
- Check whether your operating system's firewall or network policy is blocking the app.
- Restart the app after changing a profile.
- Verify that the server or provider has not reported an outage.
Ask for help safely
When contacting support, share the error message and the app version, but remove credentials, server secrets, and full subscription links. A redacted description is usually enough to start diagnosing the issue.
